A Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) is a unique 20-character alphanumeric code that identifies legal entities participating in financial transactions. It is mandated by RBI for entities engaging in financial markets and is part of the global GLEIF standard.

All companies, LLPs, trusts, government entities, banks, NBFCs, mutual funds, and other legal entities participating in financial transactions regulated by RBI need an LEI. It is required for forex transactions, derivative trading, and other financial market activities.

An LEI is typically valid for 1 year from the date of issuance. It needs to be renewed annually to keep the information current with the Global LEI Foundation (GLEIF). We offer 1, 3, and 5 year registration options.

The required documents include: Certificate of Incorporation, PAN Card of entity and authorized signatory, Board Resolution authorizing the application, Authorization Letter, and Address Proof. For certain entity types, additional documents may be required.
