Official Guide 2026
Lakshmir Bhandar Status Check 2026
Payment status, helpline number, eligibility, documents, and everything about the
upcoming Annapurna Bhandar transition — all in one place.
No jargon, straight answers.
IMPORTANT UPDATE — JUNE 2026
The new West Bengal government has announced the Annapurna Bhandar Scheme
as a replacement for Lakshmir Bhandar. Rollout expected from June 2026.
- Monthly payment goes up from ₹1,500–₹1,700 to ₹3,000 flat.
- Age bar likely to drop from 25 years to 21 years.
- Existing users: Most beneficiaries will be auto-migrated. A simple e-KYC update may be needed.
- No fresh application required in most cases.
- Until the official transition is announced, Lakshmir Bhandar payments continue normally.
Lakshmir Bhandar Status Check — How to Do It Online
Checking your Laxmi Bhandar status takes about two minutes. All you need is one of these four things:
your Application ID, your registered mobile number, your Aadhaar number,
or your Swasthya Sathi card number. Any one of them works.
Steps to Check Your Laxmi Bhandar Application Status
- Open the official Duare Sarkar or Lakshmir Bhandar beneficiary portal in your browser.
- Look for the 'Application Status' or 'Beneficiary Search' section on the page.
- Type in your Application ID, mobile number, Aadhaar number, or Swasthya Sathi number — whichever you have handy.
- Hit Search. Your current status shows up on the screen right away.
What the Status Messages Mean
Pending Verification
Approved
Payment Initiated
Rejected
- Pending Verification — Someone still needs to review your documents at the BDO or SDO.
- Approved — The scheme amount will start coming to your account.
- Payment Initiated — The money has been sent.
- Rejected — Will come with a reason mentioned alongside.
Status Showing Pending for Too Long?
If your application has been sitting at 'Pending' for more than 60 days, something usually needs fixing.
Nine out of ten times it is one of these:
- Your Aadhaar is not linked to your bank account.
- The name on your Aadhaar does not match the name on your bank records.
- The BDO office has a backlog and your documents have not been entered yet.
The simplest fix: physically go to your BDO (rural) or SDO (urban) office and ask them to
look up your application. Carry your Aadhaar card and Swasthya Sathi card. Usually gets resolved in one visit.
Lakshmir Bhandar Payment Status — Checking Monthly Transactions
Your payment status is separate from your application status, though both are available on the same portal.
Once your application is approved, the payment section shows you a month-by-month history —
which months the money came, how much was credited, and on which exact date it hit your account.
Payments typically land in the first week of each month. If by the 15th of a month the money
still has not shown up and the last few months were fine, the most common culprit is a bank account issue —
either your account was dormant, or there was a mismatch in the Aadhaar seeding. Call the helpline or visit
your bank branch first before panicking.
Laxmi Bhandar Helpline Number — Contact Details
If the portal is not giving you answers, or you just want to speak to someone directly:
You can call this number for payment delays, missed credits, application rejection queries, bank account update requests,
or anything related to the upcoming Annapurna Bhandar scheme migration. Email works too but calling is
faster for urgent issues.
How Much Money Do You Get? (Lakshmir Bhandar Amount 2025–26)
The amount depends on which category you fall under. SC and ST women get a slightly higher monthly payment
than women from General or OBC categories.
SC / ST Women
₹1,700
per month | ₹20,400 per year
General & OBC Women
₹1,500
per month | ₹18,000 per year
The money comes via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) straight into the bank account you have linked to your Aadhaar.
There is no cash component, no middleman, and absolutely no fee involved.
If anyone ever asks you to pay something to process your Laxmi Bhandar application, that person is not from the government.
Who Can Apply? Lakshmir Bhandar Eligibility
Not every woman in West Bengal qualifies for this scheme. The basic conditions are: you have to be a woman,
a permanent resident of West Bengal, between 25 and 60 years old, and
enrolled under the Swasthya Sathi health scheme. That last one trips up a lot of applicants.
If you are not on Swasthya Sathi yet, you need to get enrolled before applying here.
The disqualifying conditions are worth knowing too. If you are a permanent or retired government employee —
whether central or state government — you do not qualify. That includes people working in government undertakings,
local bodies, municipalities, panchayats, and government-aided educational institutions who receive a regular salary or pension.
Additionally, if you are from the General category and someone in your family pays income tax, or your family owns more than
2 hectares of farmland, you are not eligible either.

How to Apply for Lakshmir Bhandar
The application cannot be submitted online — at least not yet. You can download the form from the official
website or pick it up for free at a Duare Sarkar camp, the BDO office in your block
(rural areas), the SDO office (urban areas), or the KMC office if you are in Kolkata.
Once you have the form, fill it out at home and bring it back with your documents.
Documents You Need to Carry
Aadhaar Card — original plus a self-attested copy.
Swasthya Sathi Card — this one is non-negotiable.
Caste Certificate — only needed if you are applying under SC or ST.
Bank Passbook — the first page showing your name, account number, IFSC, and MICR code.
Passport Photo — one recent colour photograph.
Self-Declaration — a signed statement saying you are a female citizen of West Bengal and are not employed in any government body.
What Happens After You Submit
Officials at the BDO/SDO verify your documents and enter your details into the government portal. From there,
the list goes to the District Magistrate or the KMC Commissioner for approval.
Once they clear it, the monthly transfers start automatically to your linked account. You do not need to do anything
more after submission — just track your status online to confirm approval.
Lakshmir Bhandar vs Annapurna Bhandar — What Is Actually Changing
The short version is: the new scheme pays double — ₹3,000 a month instead of ₹1,500 or ₹1,700.
The age floor is also expected to drop from 25 to 21, which opens the scheme to a lot more young women.
The transfer mechanism stays the same — Aadhaar-linked DBT.

If you are already getting Lakshmir Bhandar, you probably will not need to fill a fresh form for Annapurna Bhandar.
The government has indicated most existing beneficiaries will be migrated automatically. You may just need to complete
a quick e-KYC update once the official process opens. Keep an eye on the Duare Sarkar portal and your local BDO
office for exact instructions.
Common Issues People Face — And What to Do
Payment Did Not Come This Month
First thing — check the portal to confirm your status is still showing as Approved. If it is,
check with your bank that your account is active and that Aadhaar seeding is in place.
Payments usually credit in the first week of the month. If it is past the 15th and nothing has come,
call 033-22143526 with your Application ID ready. Most payment delays get sorted in a day or
two once you raise it.
Application Got Rejected
Rejections are not always final. The portal usually mentions the reason — name mismatch, Swasthya Sathi issue,
duplicate entry, or eligibility problem. For most of these, you can correct the error and re-apply
at the BDO or SDO office. There is no penalty for reapplying and no fee. Just bring fresh copies of your documents
with the issue fixed.
Bank Account Changed or Wrong Account Linked
This one is urgent. If the account you used during application is closed or incorrect, all payments
will fail and potentially bounce back. Visit your BDO or SDO office in person and request a bank account update.
Carry the new passbook and your Aadhaar. Do not wait on this — the sooner it is fixed, the fewer payments you miss.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. The portal accepts your registered mobile number as one of the search options. So if you do not remember
your Application ID, your phone number works fine.
The official contact number is 033-22143526. Call Monday to Friday between 10 AM and 5 PM.
You can also email duaresarkar@gmail.com for non-urgent queries. This is the same number
for both Laxmi Bhandar and general Duare Sarkar helpline queries.
Yes, as long as you meet the other conditions — you are a permanent resident of West Bengal, enrolled under
Swasthya Sathi, and not working in a government job that pays you a salary. Age above 25 is the bar, and you clear it.
The Lakshmir Bhandar benefits stop at 60. At that point, you may become eligible for the state's
Old Age Pension scheme. The transition is handled by the authorities after age verification —
you do not have to do anything special, but it helps to be aware so you can enquire about the pension if
the payments stop and nothing new starts.
Yes, completely. There is no restriction on how you use the monthly amount.
Household expenses, school fees, medical bills, savings — entirely your call.
No. Both are completely free. The application form is free to collect. Status checking online is free.
Calling the helpline is a local or STD call to a landline — standard call charges apply, but the service
itself has no fee. If anyone demands money to process your application, report them.
This usually means there is a problem with your Aadhaar-bank linkage. Visit your bank and ask them
to check that your Aadhaar is correctly seeded to your account. Then call 033-22143526 and raise
a complaint with your Application ID. If the bank confirms the seeding is fine, the BDO office can escalate it.
The government has announced June 2026 as the expected start. But rollouts like this often happen
in phases. Until you receive an official communication or see an update on the portal asking you to complete e-KYC,
your current Lakshmir Bhandar payments should continue normally.
A Quick Summary
The Lakshmir Bhandar Scheme gives West Bengal women between 25 and 60 years a monthly income of
₹1,500 (General/OBC) or ₹1,700 (SC/ST), transferred directly to their bank accounts.
To check your status or payment, use the official portal with your Application ID, Aadhaar, mobile number,
or Swasthya Sathi number. For anything the portal cannot answer, call 033-22143526 or email
duaresarkar@gmail.com.
With the Annapurna Bhandar Scheme expected from June 2026, monthly amounts are set to double to
₹3,000 for all categories. Existing beneficiaries will likely be migrated automatically, so there is no need to
rush into anything right now — just keep your Aadhaar and bank details current.
